How to Throw a Childrens Christmas Party

Our church just held its annual childrens Christmas party, and all had a great time. One of the reasons for its resounding success was that we contacted a chair hire company. We decided to make it a more defined event by renting bean bags for the little ones to relax upon during the festivities. Normally, we make due with the chairs we have already, but this never feels quite right.

The idea to make a switch actually came from one of our parishioners 6 year old twins. As small kids often do, she openly spoke her mind one day when her mother and I were scheduling the event. She said that she wanted to bring her blankie with her to the party, because she always ended up sitting on the floor where it was cold and hard. Though we previously provided enough wooden chairs for the kids, many revert to the floor in order to be close to the activities, and special guests. That is how we decided to make a change, and luckily it was an easy and inexpensive switch.
